Princess Alexandra, who turns twenty-six on February 16, is the fourth child and only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. Alexandra became fifth in line to the Grand Ducal throne when the rules of succession were reformed in 2011 to absolute primogeniture.

Alexandra has degrees in Art, Literature and Philosophy from her student days, some of which were spent in the USA. She is currently studying in the Irish capital, Dublin, for a Masters Degree in conflict resolution. Her work CV includes journalism in the Middle East and an internship with the United Nations Security Council. The attractive and sporty Alexandra, who is still single, enjoys tennis, skiing and water skiing. She also loves travelling and learning new languages and is already fluent in English, French and Spanish.
